A Harare commercial address for your company — from $150/year
Every company registered in Zimbabwe is legally required to have a registered office address. This is the official address of your company — the place where the Registrar of Companies, ZIMRA, and other government bodies send formal correspondence, notices, and legal documents.
The registered office requirement is set out in the Companies and Other Business Entities Act (Chapter 24:31). It applies to all entity types: private limited companies, public limited companies, private business corporations, and foreign companies registered in Zimbabwe.
The following types of correspondence are typically sent to your registered office:
If you are a Zimbabwean in the diaspora — whether in the UK, South Africa, Australia, USA, Canada, Botswana, or elsewhere — and you are registering a company in Zimbabwe, you face a fundamental problem: you need a physical address in Zimbabwe, but you do not live there.
The Registrar requires a Zimbabwe physical address. Your London flat, Johannesburg office, or Perth home address will not be accepted on the CR6 form. Even if you are the sole director and shareholder, the company itself must have a Zimbabwe address.
Zimbabwe law requires every private limited company to appoint a company secretary who is ordinarily resident in Zimbabwe. The company secretary is typically contactable at the registered office address. If you are using our company secretary service, we handle this from the same address.
If ZIMRA sends a tax notice to your registered office and no one collects it, you may miss deadlines, incur penalties, or face compliance action without knowing. Similarly, if a legal claim is served at your registered office and you are unaware, you could face a default judgment. Having a reliable registered office service that monitors, collects, and forwards your mail eliminates this risk.
Many diaspora entrepreneurs use a family member’s home address as their registered office. While this technically works, it creates problems:
A professional registered office service is more reliable and costs less than the penalties you would face for missing a single ZIMRA deadline.
We provide a commercial address in Harare as your company’s registered office. This is a real business address in a professional setting — not a residential address or virtual mailbox.
| Plan | Annual Fee (USD) | What Is Included |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Address | $150/year | Registered office address, CR6 filing, mail receiving, mail holding, WhatsApp notification when mail arrives |
| Address + Forwarding | $250/year | Everything in Basic, plus monthly mail forwarding (physical post to your address or scanned and emailed as PDF) |
| Virtual Office | $400/year | Everything in Address + Forwarding, plus phone answering in your company name during business hours and meeting room access (2 hours/month) |
Getting started takes less than 10 minutes:
Select the plan that fits your needs. If you are unsure, the Basic Address plan is sufficient for most diaspora companies that simply need a compliant registered office. Upgrade to Address + Forwarding if you want documents scanned and emailed to you regularly.
We assign your company a registered office address at our Harare commercial premises. If you are registering a new company, we include this address on the CR14 and CR6 forms. If you are switching from an existing address, we prepare and file the CR6 change of registered office with the Registrar.
From day one, all correspondence sent to your registered office is received, logged, and handled according to your plan. You receive WhatsApp or email notifications when items arrive. Urgent items (ZIMRA notices, legal documents) are flagged immediately so you never miss a deadline.
Yes. The Companies and Other Business Entities Act (Chapter 24:31) requires every registered company to have a registered office address in Zimbabwe. This must be a physical address (not a PO Box) where official correspondence from the Registrar, ZIMRA, and other government bodies can be delivered.
No. The registered office must be a physical street address in Zimbabwe. PO Boxes are not accepted by the Companies and Deeds Registry. The address must be a place where documents can be physically delivered and served.
On our Basic plan, we hold your mail securely and notify you when items arrive. On the Address + Forwarding plan, we scan and email documents to you monthly, or forward physical mail to your international address. On the Virtual Office plan, you get real-time scanning of all received mail plus phone answering and meeting room access.
Yes. A change of registered office is filed using the CR6 form at the Companies and Deeds Registry. We handle this filing as part of our service if you need to change your address at any point. There is no government restriction on how often you can change your registered office.
